Tyler was born in 1983 in Sudbury, Ontario, and his early years were spent in Hanmer, a picturesque French town nestled just 15 minutes north of Sudbury. Growing up, he had the unique experience of attending fully French schools from elementary through high school.
After completing high school, Tyler left Sudbury and embarked on a journey to Orillia, Ontario, where he enrolled in the Professional Golf Management (PGM) program at Georgian College. This marked his first experience in an English-language educational setting, opening up exciting opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Shortly after graduating from college, Tyler set out on a new adventure, driving to Calgary. There, he commenced his career at Elbow Springs Golf Club, where he served as an Assistant Golf Professional for the next six years. His time at Elbow Springs allowed him to not only refine his golfing skills but also to discover a deep passion for teaching and delve into the world of tournament golf.
After six fulfilling seasons at Elbow Springs, Tyler felt the need to broaden his knowledge of the golf industry. He spent the following five years at Silver Springs, working under the guidance of the esteemed Sheryle Rowland and her exceptional team. It was a period marked by substantial growth and valuable learning experiences.
Subsequently, Tyler transitioned to Lynx Ridge, where he made teaching his primary focus. In late October of 2016, he was honored to accept the role of Head Professional, a significant milestone in his career.
In 2020, Tyler embraced a new opportunity by joining GOLFTEC, where he honed his skills as a Golf Coach and Club Fitter. His time at GOLFTEC was characterized by continuous development and the privilege of working with passionate golf enthusiasts.
Fast forward to October 2023, when Tyler embarked on a new and exciting chapter in collaboration with Josh Fleming at 365 GOLF. Together, their mission is to inspire and elevate the golfing experience for enthusiasts of all skill levels, encapsulated by their motto, #enjoythegame. Whether you’re just starting or an experienced player, Tyler is here to make your golfing journey enjoyable, fulfilling, and unforgettable.
