Josh, a native of Calgary, Alberta, is a dedicated figure in the world of golf, boasting a rich background that has shaped him into a prominent golf professional. Raised amidst the picturesque landscapes of Cottonwood Golf and Country Club, Josh’s golfing journey has been nothing short of remarkable.
From his formative years, he was fortunate to be mentored by PGA of Canada Professional, Tiffany Gordon, who imparted invaluable wisdom and expertise. As he traversed through his junior career, it became evident that golf was more than just a sport for Josh; it was his true calling.
His journey led him to the prestigious University of Victoria, where he represented their varsity golf team. However, Josh’s passion transcended mere play; he aspired to become a beacon for golf enthusiasts. This pursuit led him to attain PGA of Canada membership, where he embarked on a path to becoming a golf educator and expert.
In 2005, Josh found himself at the revered Gallagher’s Canyon Golf Club in Kelowna, British Columbia, a gem nestled in the Okanagan region. Here, he meticulously honed his craft as a golfer, an instructor, and a well-rounded golf club professional. During his tenure, he adeptly juggled various roles, including Golf Shop Manager and Director of Instruction, leaving an indelible mark on the establishment.
Josh’s journey continued to evolve, and in 2013, he assumed the role of Head Golf Professional at Miskanaw Golf Club in Fort McMurray. His arrival brought forth positive transformations to the golf course, and he relished the opportunity to contribute to its success.
Subsequently, Josh transitioned into the position of Operations Manager for GOLFTEC Prairies, where he oversaw operations across three golf centers spanning the Prairies region. His time with GOLFTEC was marked by dedication and unwavering commitment to the sport.
Today, Josh stands at the helm of “365 GOLF,” his own golf instruction and coaching business. With a repertoire of over 10,000 golf lessons, founding his venture was a natural progression. His vision is clear and resolute: to enable golfers of all skill levels to #enjoythegame to the fullest extent.
