365 GOLF NEWSLETTER

At 365 GOLF, we want to inspire young golfers to #enjoythegame. But being Calgarians, we also know the weather cuts the season short, and standard, generic junior lessons don’t cut it for a kid who genuinely wants to improve.
Parents often wonder how to bridge the gap between weekend play and real competitive skill development.
At 365 GOLF, we’re here to help juniors of all experience #levelup. Operating out of our indoor facility with TrackMan simulators, video analysis, and an award-winning coaching staff, our youth training is structured to build a love of the game. We also use Valley Ridge Golf Club in the spring, summer, and fall months, while the weather permits, to provide outdoor programming in our YPG program.
Here is exactly what to expect from our Young Performance Golf Programs in Calgary.
A performance program goes beyond basic swing tips on a driving range. It’s a structured, long-term athletic development plan.
At 365 GOLF, we combine indoor simulator data, physical conditioning, and tournament strategy. We treat junior golfers like high-performance athletes while keeping the coaching environment fun and positive. Our mantra is #enjoythegame and #levelup because players get better when they love what they’re doing.
Our youth performance tiers are built around development rather than strict age groups. Our programs—Rising Stars, Game Changers, and Elite Performance—are open to all ages.
Whether you have a motivated 8-year-old looking to learn the basics or a 16-year-old aiming for a college roster, the right time to start is simply when they show the maturity and drive to look at golf as a sport they want to play. At 365 GOLF, our youth programs are built around development, readiness, and competitive growth — not strict age groups. Players are placed based on skill level, commitment, mindset, and goals.
For newer golfers, the focus is on fundamentals, confidence, and building a love for the game. In our Game Changers and Elite Performance programs, training becomes more competitive, with an emphasis on tournament preparation, course management, scoring strategy, mental performance, and learning how to compete — and win.
Whether your child is just starting out or preparing for tournaments, provincial events, or a future college roster, the right time to begin is when they show the maturity, motivation, and desire to grow in the game.
We break down our development into three distinct paths based on skill, commitment, and competitive goals:

Elite Performance — Advanced / Competitive Performance
A 12-month, invitation-only program for highly committed tournament players. Training is focused on advanced technical work, tournament management, mental performance, physical preparation, scoring skills, and developing the habits needed to compete — and win.

At what age should kids start golf lessons?
There is no perfect age to begin. At 365 GOLF, we focus on readiness, motivation, and skill level rather than age alone. When a junior shows interest in learning, practicing, and improving, they are ready to start.
Do players need tournament experience to join?
Not necessarily. Our programs are designed to meet athletes where they are. Rising Stars supports newer players building fundamentals, while Game Changers and Elite Performance are built for juniors ready to focus more seriously on tournament preparation, scoring strategy, and competitive growth.
What is the difference between Rising Stars, Game Changers, and Elite Performance?
Rising Stars focuses on fundamentals, confidence, and developing a strong connection to the game. Game Changers helps players train with more purpose through technical growth, course management, practice habits, and tournament preparation. Elite Performance is an invite- and application-based 12-month program for committed tournament players focused on advanced development, tournament management, and learning how to compete — and win.
How long does it take to improve in junior golf?
Some technical changes can happen quickly, especially with tools like TrackMan, but lasting competitive development takes time. Our 6-month and 12-month programs are designed to build strong habits, confidence, course management, and skills that hold up under tournament pressure.
Why are the programs 6 or 12 months long?
Real development requires consistency. The longer format allows players to build lasting habits, make meaningful technical improvements, and prepare properly for Calgary’s golf season, including winter training and in-season tournament performance.
Is Elite Performance open to everyone?
Elite Performance is an invite- and application-based 12-month program for highly committed competitive players. It is designed for athletes who are ready for a higher level of structure, accountability, and tournament-focused training.
Are youth golf programs suitable for beginners?
Yes. Our Rising Stars program is designed for motivated young golfers who want to build strong fundamentals, develop confidence, and learn the game the right way from the beginning.
How often should junior golfers practice?
Consistency matters. Our Game Changers and Elite Performance programs provide structured coaching, purposeful practice, performance feedback, and tournament-focused development to help athletes train with accountability and progress with confidence.
Do you help with college recruitment?
Yes. Through our partnership with Next Level U Sports, high-performance families receive support through the college recruitment process. Next Level U Sports has helped over 425 student-athletes commit to post-secondary institutions, and Coach Wade Waters has personally helped 24 students continue their golf careers at the college and university level.
Who leads the coaching?
Our programs are led by Coach Wade Waters, the 2025 PGA of Alberta Coach of the Year, alongside Coach Ryan Ames, who brings extensive experience from the PGA Tour environment. Together, they provide athletes with high-level coaching, mentorship, and a clear development pathway.
Do your programs follow a development model?
Yes. Our coaching approach is built around long-term development and aligns with Golf Canada’s Long-Term Player Development principles, helping athletes progress at the right pace while building the skills, mindset, and habits needed for long-term success.
