MEET JAKE

Born and raised in Calgary, Jake’s passion for golf began early thanks to his grandfather, a scratch golfer whose enthusiasm for the game was contagious. As a junior, Jake quickly made his mark, competing at an elite level and recording his first hole-in-one at just 15 during a CJGA tournament at Lynx Ridge—a moment that foreshadowed his future in golf.

At 21, Jake earned his Professional Status and launched his career at Lakeside Greens Golf Club in Chestermere, spending three years as an Assistant Professional focused on player development and building strong community connections. Always eager to grow, he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Ecotourism and Outdoor Leadership from Mount Royal University, expanding his expertise in both sport and leadership.

Jake’s journey also includes a decade with WestJet, where he mastered delivering world-class guest experiences—skills he brings to his coaching and golf operations. He’s remained active in competitive amateur golf, securing multiple Alberta Golf Tour wins and most recently working at The Winston.

Jake is a dedicated family man and a passionate advocate for helping golfers of all ages and abilities build confidence and enjoy the game. Currently pursuing a Golf and Resort Management Diploma through McMaster University, he’s committed to continuous growth.
